Use the Operator workspace

The Operator workspace keeps advanced diagnostics and release controls separate from routine Blueprint and Policy work. It is available only when your organization role and Console access permit it. If Operator does not appear in the navigation, ask an organization owner or platform administrator to confirm your access.

Use this workspace when a Blueprint or Policy reports Operator review required, when you need exact release-readiness evidence, or when you are reviewing an expert computer import. Routine administrators should continue to use the normal editors and Deploy.

What you can review

The workspace groups advanced information into three areas:

• Blueprint internals shows compatibility diagnostics, captured expert settings, source locks, and exact release-readiness evidence.
• Policy diagnostics shows the authored Policy document and exact compatibility identifiers without changing the normal typed Policy editor.
• Release controls shows delivery policy, James replica requirements, preparation controls, rollback settings, and active release incidents.

Saving a raw Blueprint draft does not publish or deploy it. Staging a reviewed source version does not release it. Return to Deploy to validate the complete configuration, prepare it, and choose a rollout.

Expert imports

Normal computer import includes only supported applications, a tested Desktop Experience, wallpaper, and typed preferences. The Operator workspace can additionally expose low-level captured assets while the review is still pending.

Before selecting expert assets:

1. Confirm that the capture belongs to the intended organization and computer.
2. Review every selected path and the compatibility warning.
3. Accept the expert-import acknowledgement only when you understand the maintenance risk.
4. Validate the resulting Blueprint before deployment.

Expert settings remain subject to server validation and organization authorization. Access to this screen does not bypass Policy ownership, immutable revision history, or release checks.

When something is unavailable

• Operator sends you back to Home: your current role or organization does not permit the workspace. Switching organizations can change this access.
• A diagnostic says preparation is required: use the action shown in Deploy or ask a platform operator to resolve the James or source-readiness issue.
• A captured item cannot be selected: the item is unsupported, expired, already finalized, or requires a different review path.
• A release incident lacks a routine-admin action: record the time and affected organization, then escalate it to the platform operator with the exact diagnostic shown here.
